I Love the Scriptures!!!!

In Seminary we are studying the Doctrine and Covenants and our theme this year comes out of it.
Cyprus Seminary 2010-2011 Theme:
D&C 6:8 "Verily, verily, I say unto you, even as you desire of me so it shall be unto you; and if you desire, you shall be the means of doing much good in this generation."

Also in my reading today in The Book of Mormon I found something that I just had to share!!!!
In Helaman Chapter 1 (yes I finally finished Alma!) verses 17 -18 it talks about Tubaloth stirring the Nephites up to anger and causing a ton of contention among them.

So here I will let you read them :

"17 Therefore he did stir them up to anger, and he did gather together his armies, and he did appoint Coriantumr to be their leader, and did cause that they should march down to the land of Zarahemla to battle against the Nephites.

18 And it came to pass that because of so much contention and so much difficulty in the government, that they had not kept sufficient guards in the land of Zarahemla; for they had supposed that the Lamanites durst not come into the heart of their lands to attack that great city Zarahemla."
What hit me was that when you apply that to us if we let contention enter into our hearts than all it does is send the spirit away and let Satan in and attack our lives and knock us out of sorts.
So I just had to share my awesome discovery!!!!
